I had to update a little tool I wrote some code for long ago and it ends up being a pretty complicated system so it made me happy when I saw how I created a central file that controlled all the settings and made it really easy for me.

Good code is often just about being sensitive to your future self and doing it the right way now, the simple and easy-to-understand way, so your future self or others will save time and energy.
