This is one of the best Steve Jobs interview videos out there because it’s just at the time of his comeback. It’s like his resurrection video but without any of the validation and vindication yet. The jury was very much out on whether bringing Jobs back would be the right idea. He wasn’t a revered as some genius deity yet. It’s 10 years before the iPhone was even released. Apple, at this point, wasn’t in good shape financially. But here he talks about how Apple was going to simplify its offerings and just focus on getting its products right instead of worrying about trying to get its financials right. He emphasizes that the “bottom line” will fall into place if they focus on getting the “top line” things right.
